Our vet told us not to give our dog cod liver oil which is made for humans, something to do with the higher levels of certain vitamins.
I just had to google it again... its to do with the A & D vitamins which are fat soluble, so can cause liver, artery and heart problems, can shorten the life of the animal.
You just don't know whether all this is a marketing ploy, or proven medical science?
