You could get yourself a rain shelter/cover for your camera, a plastic hood with a plastic/glass lens. Useful for going out in unpredictable weather
The EOS450D is an excellent camera and you have a wide range of lenses with the deal. Maybe you could practice macro photography of the model cars indoors.
Yesterday, the glass floor in the bedroom was replaced with a wooden floor. The glass was too heavy to be lifted from the beams and it had be cut and dismantled to get it down the stairs, done in a day
Hopefully I can get back into photography.
