I see those Spencer Ashley ones are going for £29.
As a one off item, that's dirt cheap, same as for a very small batch; especially when you add beaded ends.

I'd guess there wouldn't be much difference in price for a SS version, but it's just more difficult to work with, as it eats cutting tools in comparison to Ally.

I was contemplating calling a friend of mine who worked a few years in the brewery industry with me, to see if he'd fancy knocking out a batch, as he's normally quite partial to a "foreigner"

But tbh, I don't think he'd be interested at that sort of money
