Default 3D printer

Been thinking of buying a 3D printer, been doing lots of research on the subject and it seems that the technology has moved on leaps and bounds since first introduced and more importantly ... the prices have dropped considerably.
Great for producing hard to get / obsolete parts for suitable applications within the motor industry too.
Anyone have any experience with these ?
