We used to live in a cul de sac with designated parking places at the end. People moved in next door and claimed what was one of the visitor spaces opposite the houses because it was nearer to their front door. They used to be furious if the visitor spaces were full when they arrived home, me being as I am I used to deliberately park in their "claimed" space and watch them glaring at my house as they had to walk the extra ten yards to their door
Actually saw her taking photos of the parked cars one day! They really were a class act, new neighbours moved in at the other side of them. A couple of days after moving in the guy came home to find a note through his letterbox, he though oh, a welcome note from a neighbours. He read it, it was from their neighbour right enough, it said don't lean your pushbike against
my fence! His wife had to stop him going round to tell his neighbours what he thought!
