Very easy.

Engine cover off, and you can see all the bolts you need to access. Only gotcha is the rear one which holds the cable on, you do that by feel instead of sight.

Apart from that, it's a 10 minute job.

If your starter is duff, what are the symptoms? These Nippon Denso starters work forever and a day, and are quite overspecced for the application. The only weak point is the solenoid contacts, identified by a clicking noise when you try and start the car.

A £12 kit from Ebay fixes that though
