As far as I can see there is an exception in the US which allows for home taping however this does not appear to be the case in the UK.


Didn't know that I've been breaking the law since I was a child making mixtapes etc! That said the music industry have said time and time again that they have no interest in prosecuting individuals making a copy for their own use they only go after those sharing and / or making money from it.
If you do choose to record from the radio then technically you may be breaking the law however in reality you're probably more likely to scoop the jackpot on the lottery then get done for it.
