The Freelander water pumps are supposed to be better quality, anyone tried one of those on their diesel, they are used in the TD4 I have not read or heard of many of those failing.

Same goes for the thermostat in my opinion.

The warranty on the part is worthless if it fails early as in the OP case, because the cost of having the job done again out weighs the if it fails in a certain time it will be replaced ?
