There used to be a fiat 500 abarth near to where I live, that was to my mind a perfect primer grey, with a satin top coat. The worst is in a car park now where I park. Golf gte (hybrid). Gloss primer grey with a pearl effect . It only shows the pearl on the sunniest of days.

I guess it is one of those things that the phrase, 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder was meant for.
