I'm probably being too hard on Microsoft, and I will try IE7 again in a few months time, when the all bugs have been ironed out.

I remember the upgrade from Windows 3.1 to Windows 95 many moons ago. We all thought that 95 was an aberration, as it slowed our pathetic 386/486 machines to a crawl and it could not easily install the proliferation of non pnp hardware on the market at that time! Even those lucky enough to own a cutting edge Pentium 75 (wow...) found it hard going.

Then there was Windows 95 (2), 98 (1&2), Millennium, XP1,2 etc. Oh the joy....I've had them all, and they were all buggy in their first incarnation, so let us keep our fingers crossed!
