I've now added light bulbs galore, spare set of intercooler rings and thrown away the old intercooler, plus I have a light oak and an all leather steering wheel - for sale on ebay!

I guess collecting miscellaneous bits and pieces is a Rover thing - I never had as much as an oil filter for all my other cars! And I've bought an air compressor pump to blow up the tyres, an instant tyre repair kit, a large capacitor engine starter and a big tidy compartmentalised box to keep all the various cleaning stuff and original radio etc. in. And my car still looks like a dog's breakfast!
I too never held anything other then oil and a filter as a spare for the car.
Not sure if that was because the manufacturers were still around or the cars were not known to me for having parts fail.
I get pleasure from driving a Rover 75 and that for me is important.
