What dimension did you use to "gap" your piston rings? Could the source of that information be to blame ?

I am sure the same thought occurred to you, but maybe there are different source of information.

Of course, the piston rings might be the issue, but I still don`t think that issue would make the carbon build up that evenly between all cylinders. This ring gap was not checked but all parts was new. I do question the quality of these items as the liner/piston/ring kit was branded Britpart. My gut feeling tells me that this make shall be avoided in the future...
