Ok, i had to get a second hand complete fan rather than attempting to fix what i have.
I've also ordered to gold resistor to replace the silver one.
My question now is do i have to cut the shroud to get it past the air con pipes when re-assembling?
I'm now aware that when removing the fan it could be hinged on the left hand side around the pipes.
What i'm really saying is i also have no idea what would be involved with removing any air con pipes, i'm guessing the whole system would need to be re-gassed?
Interested to hear about this as its another lesson for me to learn.
