I'm surprised this thread is still rumbling on.
On a slightly different note how do you feel about the drink driving limits.

In Scotland, quite rightly IMHO, we have a lower drink driving limit. Essentially one pint of lager can put you over the limit for driving meaning a ban etc etc etc. In England the limit is higher.
It's not impossible for a person to have a pint with their dinner in England, get in their car quite legally and drive 10 minutes up the road and be pulled over by Police Scotland and find themselves in all sorts of trouble.
The answer is simple. Don't drink and drive but the point remains that there are a number of different laws etc between the devolved nations.
