Default Tourer boot cover problems

Hi Martin,
I’m sorry I am a week behind your entry, and thought you may have had some other responses before now.
My near side catch on the wheel arch top has lost the leading edge which caused me problems. In order to release it, I have to free the offside catch first, and with the cartridge still resting on the catch base plate, I push the whole cartridge over to the near side, and this slight sideways movement is enough to free the near side catch.
Have you tried spraying the release button’s surround with WD 40 preferably though the tube supplied to get the spray directly in the gap between the release button edge and it’s surround?
If you are still with it not released I hope the above may be of help.
GeoffWW.
