On my 04 facelift, I opened the fuse compartment cover, found and disconnected the connector from the CD unit. There are four 10 mm nuts and washers that can be unscrewed from the top of the fuse compartment (they project down from the glove box and are not easy to see but easy to feel). You can then lift the CD changer out of the glove box taking care to feed the connector through the hole.
