Had a break down today on the A1 in my tourer. There was a sudden loss of power, CEL flashing and exhaust popping. I managed to pull onto a slip road, got out just as the engine cut out, opened the bonnet and saw smoke coming out from under the cover for the ignition components. Got recovered home and discovered one of my new coil packs had melted.
Full set of ignition leads and coil packs now on order from Rimmers.
I hope it starts when the parts arrive.
