There was a while when I desperately wanted a 260 tourer and was prepared to let the current yellow tourer go to make way for one. Talking to a few owners I decided not to bother due to the idiosyncrasies of the model. Hand brake shoes, shocker prices and other little items specific to the V8. Working in the trade the last thing I want after an 8 hour day is fighting with a car that’s off the road with parts hard to find. Maybe one day though, as it’s been many years since I’ve driven one and it was only a short journey. The Boxster S is a car I’d love to own and probably never will as I just don’t know enough about them, I’m guessing if they go wrong in a big way it will ruin your life. A friend has a 966 carrera, that years equivalent to the 911 and his independant service and repair bills are eye wateringly expensive.

'Marmite' Possibly one of the most famous 75 tourers produced! left the production line as the last of only Three Rover 75 tourers produced in Trophy Yellow. 48 hours later Longbridge closed. The last sold ordered 75 Tourer. Paid for by the Phoenix Four and handed over by John Towers to the Warwickshire Northampton Air ambulance service as a Rapid Response vehicle
