OK, I see now the whole cowling, although it depends on what you understand to be "a new fan system".
Just advising the OP that to remove his old 3 speed fan, or fit a replacement fan he doesn't need to cut anything.
I cut the first time I tried removing a fan motor, and then quickly discovered there was no need, and ever since found enough space to free the three torx screws without surgery.
