To confirm the fluid temperature readings, with your multimeter selected to a resistance range of 2kΩ or above, separate connector C0243 (tricky, twist to release) and between male terminals 7 & 8 (refer to diagram or tiny numbers on connector) you should see these reducing readings:
35˚C = 1.7 kΩ
40˚C = 1.16 kΩ
45˚C = 1.0 kΩ
