Also washed off and degreased the front subframe to see the extent of the rust and the state of the bushes (I have new to fit).

The corroless paint has arrived so I have to decide if I am going to spray or brush. Next step will be removing the bushes from the front subframe. You will notice I have not neutralised the trailing arms yet, thats because I want to change the bushes first but I have not ordered the replacements yet.

The subframe bolts are at the metal plater. They are doing it for a very good price and I know their work so I will be interested to see how the fittings look on completion.

I have also pulled out the spare MG steering rack ready for overhaul. I may pay a local firm to do this for timing reasons.
