I'm a bit confused about the term 'stiffnut' - what the heck is a stiffnut?

Also, re the toe-in adjuster bracket to body bolts, the MGR ones (#8 here) are NLA, so the new ones I've got are from Spalding Fasteners as per posts 77-80 here. They're not Patchlok.

Think I need a glossary of bolt & nut terminology - I've never heard of half of these names.
