I just lined up the whole length of the black plastic flat trim (one side at a time), and folded it over and into the white plastic U shaped trim in one go. Then pressed it together with my fingers. much easier than trying to zip it up. I have done 3 this way, (5 if you count the two practice goes I had with a scrap seat before I did the first leather one) I stripped mine yesterday to fit new seatbelt, but swapped it onto a seat frame that had a ski hatch.

A little 1:1 fairy liquid and water and it goes together a piece of cake
