I am learning when to pick up the phone.
I have done all my own work on my MGs for decades.
Last fall I had just finished boosting the gearbox back into my MGF and found it was time to do the clutch on the ZT. I was capable of doing the job but was just too darn weary of doing heavy work so I booked it into the local transmission shop. They did a good job and charged me a reasonable amount and I am glad that I got them to do it. Particularly as the gearbox had to come back out of the MGF to replace a damaged selector fork.
You do have to pick your battles!
