Well yesterday I got everything ready to have a go at dropping the subframe to fit the spring. Alas, I have to admit that my old bones kneeling and laying on my back beat me. This is the very first time that I have not been able to do a repair/replacement of anything on any car I have ever owned. I still think I am 28 instead of 80. My wife thinks I am stupid for my age. Gave her a good slap and she apologised. My friend uses a mechanic who does not mind working outside on his Jaguar, so am going to give him a ring to see if he can do it while the weather is like it is, sunny and very warm.
