To be honest, I'd be more concerned about the broken bonnet cable and his comment that he may leave it to the customer to fix.

He said this was why he hadn't been able to clean the engine, so presumably he hasn't checked oil; water levels etc, nor carried out even a basic service . Who knows what may be awaiting the new owner when they eventually get the bonnet open.
