I understand about apps on phones although I don't have an iphone or anything like it. I'm just curious about this app, how it works and what it does.

I agree wholeheartedly with those saying the best camera is the one you have with you. I would also say the best photo is the one you like and never mind anyone else. But if you want to get into photography that's a different ball game altogether.
