No problem going under the car as long as you have it chocked and supported on axle stands. I would rather use a socket and ratchet handle to remove the sump plug and do whilst the oil is warm, flows easier, sorry cannot remember size of socket. No reason to remove the ecu to replace the pollen filter a bit fiddily but possible, I managed it.
