A friend is a member of the Stellenbosch Flying Club in South Africa and even though he doesn’t own a plane or have a license, he often gets to go up and fly when ever his pilot friend lets him take over. For a different kind of buzz, have you thought about camping out in a tent in the bush on safari in Kenya? It’s particularly thrilling to listen to the sounds of the wild at night, hyenas, lion, elephant and night jars. Does that appeal? It’s a different thrill and fairly unique. It’s something you would not get in the UK.

Ah Phil, have you not heard the plaintive cry of the natives running loose on Slough High Street on a Saturday afternoon? That's nearer to me than Kenya, and I realize what would be nicer.
I love flying, gliding is magical, but costs have to be considered, and the sight of the kettle next to the tea bags generally persuades me otherwise.
