The only potential difficulty is the positioning of the cigar lighter socket which may hinder gear changes, unless an auxillary socket is fitted - £6 on eBay (excluding cable).

I tried this for a while but there was significant interference on FM, perhaps due to aerial located in rear window? And you are right the power socket is a little awkward - I used a 3 way extension instead.
Now I'm going with the Intravee once everything arrives.
