Hi all.
So when I bought this car a couple of weeks ago the fan belt looked fine (new actually) but today I noticed a tapping noise and found that the fan belt looked like it was being stripped from one side. I first thought that a pulley was out of line, but looking towards the back of the engine, something looks really close. Maybe it’s supposed to be there, and I can’t judge as my car is hot. But I’ve added some pics to try and explain.
I’ll be driving 35 miles home tonight, then another 100 miles to a gig tomorrow (somebodies wedding and only my car can fit the gear in) so any quick remedies would be really appreciated!!
