Hi Jean,
Your cigar lighter is fed directly from the battery (2005 car) but the radio supply is switched via the auxiliary key position, so different circuits. They don't share the same fuse either!
I only have RHD wiring diagrams for the original radio types and they have separate earthing points so it's unlikely to be that.
You could check for trapped/damaged wires under the engine compartment fusebox as diesels seem to suffer from that. Otherwise it's a case of turning the radio on and wiggling wires in the hope that you can reproduce the fault.
