Rather better news: without any return from Jules, I've just ordered from DMGRS the gold resistor.
No cheeky asking of any confidential details and the shipping is rather sensible: £4.49 for France by snail mail. Otherwise it could have been £7.49 for a faster delivery. The resistor itself being £7.49.
So why all that fuss about those so called mandatory details?
Mystery.
