I concur with Russ, typical symptoms of this is EML light flashing on and off in the message centre, sometimes staying on for a minute at a time then going off then coming on, when the connection is not making a proper contact it will send a default value to the ECM, seen it loads of times I found one of the solutions is to clean out contacts with electrical contact spray, and actually use a tie strap over the plug to maintain a nice solid tight snug fit
