I have no doubt many repairs, especially for MOT are not really needed.

I simply have to go on the word of a mechanic who I have used for many years on 3 of our cars, the youngest of which is now 12 years old.

If after 16 years, in his opinion, the part needed changing, I don't really have an issue.

Appreciate the advice about leak sealant for the air con - I will ask my guy.
