Thank you Julien, last night I ate white fish and spinach - a TV dinner. I went in at 7a.m. They had to do 2 scans and took blood several times, as the first set became lost and the second set was damaged.

The results came back with 2 markers high, indicating an infection and internal bleeding, then the scans showed no internal bleeding. The only treatment for gastric-enteritis is to replace lost fluids. I am now back home, but have been told to ring 999, if the tummy pain gets bad again. A bit of an unexpected set back. I had excellent treatment and was seen by no less than 3 different consultants, one of whom, was called in specifically to carry out the final scan (NHS) because of the history of an enlarged aneurysm, he wanted to reassure himself that it had not blown and was bleeding out.
