You need M12 x 1.75 helicoils, with a good 12.5 mm drill bit to drill out the holes (get a decent cobalt drill bit).
The clutch is still good after 2,000 miles, but annoyingly, I now have a gear selector issue inside the box. It sticks or springs out of 3rd gear- the other gears are fine, and I have swapped the gear selector cables, but the issue persists. I have double checked the clutch hydraulics, and all is good, with no leaks and a good pedal that bites near the top. I have spoken to Neal at AllGears, Worksop, who rebuilds Getrag boxes, and he says it sounds like a classical 283 gearbox selector issue. The plastic tips on the selector forks go brittle and crack with age. So, when I am in the mood (not at the moment), I will take the box off and take it up to Worksop to be rebuilt.
Good luck with your clutch change - let us know now you get on.
