He also mentioned how parts were getting hard to come by, so I pointed him in the direction of the club, DMGRS in particular as he needs a new tank strap

I'm not sure if he joined but he seemed grateful for the heads up and if he gets a strap it's another one kept on the road.

Hopefully he will have taken your advice and joined up, thus gaining all the means at his disposal for keeping his pride and joy on the road for many more miles
