A few days ago I bumped in to a chap in a supermarket car park with an 06 reg 75 Cdti Connie SE saloon, during our chat he mentioned that his N/S spring fractured a short while ago with only around 30k on the clock. Now forgive me if I am wrong but I am led to believe that the later post 2004 cars were fitted with tyre protectors and this was after the MG/Rover bulletin, alerting to the problem was issued.
So one can imagine to my horror after checking my own car, that I too do not have tyre protectors fitted!! , so I have hastily ordered a set from Rimmers to fit at the weekend, and to think I carry my wife and kids around, and went all the way to POL and back at motorway speeds.
