I changed my lock for a brand new one, to no avail.
The solution in my case was to replace F26 (alarm?), which has sorted the problem :Santa3:
Bear in mind, my fusebox is the single panel type (early one?), so your fuse number might be different. A quick glance tells me it's F36, F32 and F8 on the later cars.
The point is, it's something that's very easy to check if a replacement lock doesn't sort it.
