More modding done on redfive
Another lockdown project done this time on redfive. Been working on these for over a week in stages. Door cars all retrimmed in red Alcantara. Whilst the door cards were off i swapped the standard door speakers and tweeters out for a spare set of factory harman kardon ones i had sitting around and also fitted and wired up the powerfold mirrors i bought last year.
Whilst working on the door cards I decided to modify the speaker grills. Never liked the speaker covers on the 75/zt, so bought a set from a Jag with chrome rings and fitted those. Also managed to source some Harman Kardon badges to fit to the speaker grills. The retrimmed door cards are a little rough around the edges and wont win any awards but dont look too bad, always like to give these sort of things a go and definitively the hardest bit of retrimming I've done. https://scontent-lhr8-1.xx.fbcdn.net...1a&oe=5EC3FB80 https://scontent-lht6-1.xx.fbcdn.net...ad&oe=5EC4949E https://scontent-lhr8-1.xx.fbcdn.net...29&oe=5EC28836 https://scontent-lht6-1.xx.fbcdn.net...e9&oe=5EC46893 https://scontent-lht6-1.xx.fbcdn.net...c8&oe=5EC4B0CB https://scontent-lhr8-1.xx.fbcdn.net...30&oe=5EC50EFD https://scontent-lht6-1.xx.fbcdn.net...32&oe=5EC2AE83 https://scontent-lht6-1.xx.fbcdn.net...e5&oe=5EC428DE |
Some more mods done on redfive in the last week.
- set up the mg7 tail light rings and number plate lights to turn on when i unlock the car. This goes quite nicely with the red halo rings in the headlights and fog lights which were already set up to turn on when the car is unlocked. - also set up the backlighting on the instrument cluster and dash clock to turn on when the car is unlocked. - red warning lights fitted to the side of the door cards. Much better than the cheap reflectors they stuck to the doors on the earlier cars which were then replaced with reflective stickers on the later cars to go even cheaper! - blue ambient LED lights fitted to the door cards (1 per door card). - powerfold switch back LEDs converted to blue. https://scontent-lht6-1.xx.fbcdn.net...15&oe=5EC23B6C https://scontent-lhr8-1.xx.fbcdn.net...83&oe=5EC360A8 https://scontent-lht6-1.xx.fbcdn.net...7c&oe=5EC251CD https://scontent-lht6-1.xx.fbcdn.net...c4&oe=5EC41167 https://scontent-lhr8-1.xx.fbcdn.net...aa&oe=5EC19ED9 https://scontent-lhr8-1.xx.fbcdn.net...a9&oe=5EC343B2 https://scontent-lhr8-1.xx.fbcdn.net...24&oe=5EC3F697 https://scontent-lht6-1.xx.fbcdn.net...70&oe=5EC40A42 |
