"Gordon" Failed his MOT

The 75 went in for its MOT on Friday and has failed :(

1. Both Sides Front to Rear Brake Pipes have corroded
2. Rear Offside Coil has fractured

Talk about peeved off. :(

Looks like Gordon is gonna be parked up a while :(

carlpenn 2nd November 2008 09:42

My ZT recently failed on front & rear brake pipes being corroded, its a common fault according to the garage I went to. At least you know it will be safe when you have it sorted.

shame about the mot fail, as said both are known issues. the spring is not that expensive around 40 quid give or take a few bob, less from the right sources. takes around half to three quarters of an hour or so to do the job, watch out tho if you do it yourself, the spring tends to bite back trapping fingers as it does so.

Hi Nick nick :-)

Its worth coating the new brake pipes in Waxoyl or similar to prevent the same happening again.
