Hello from Islandmagee

Not an owner ( yet) im a Merc driver but always loved the Trophy blue
ZT:drool4:
missed one last week and am now commited to selling the merc and looking for one. Black and red are nice too but a Trophy blue is top of the wish list for me. Actually like the pre face lift models better, more agressive looking. and the 2 tone leather and swede seats are nice looking too. Straight alloys etc.

If anyone knows of one in diesel minty fresh with cosher history give me a shout.

Great work there Colin bye the way

Ello Ron, welcome.

Have you read my buyers guide?

There can be some costs in buying one of the cars if things go wrong, and its worth knowing in advance.

IMO buy a slightly cheaper car and spend the change fixing the things that might go wrong (not many on a diesel!).

Usually gumtree/ usedcarsni / autotrader are the best bets mate.

I did Colin and its very informative, great help.
Looking everywhere and there are loads in England but not so many here. Would only buy if full proper service history to be honest and will ing to pay the bit more to have that. Was there a "best year" and one to avoid? really looking for a mint pre face lift if i can get one. If you know of any let me know.
Cheers
Ron

All ZT's where victims of project drive mate (see my buyers guide) so whernt as well spec'd as a 75 usually, but most if not all can be retrofitted.

My advice, buy a 115 model over the 131 as it will save you on insurance and you will want to upgrade it anyways down the line with the ron boxs and such.

Go for a car with projectors or xenons over the halogen units as they are hard to source and difficult to upgrade.

Also, try and go for a SE if you can. Theres the entry, entry plus, and SE models, they usually have a sunroof and cruise control.

99% of them wont have full leather or electric seats, again where an SE is a bonus.

Again a very popular car for towing with, but that can mean more wear and tear and so on, so a car without a towbar doesnt mean it hasnt been used for towing at some stage etc.

I spied this locally also.... http://www.usedcarsni.com/85541841

JohnK70 on here, in east belfast, was trying to sell his a while ago.

Unfortunately not trophy blue, but a darker blue.

Don't know if he still has it or not.

Humm.... right leave that one with me, you will prob pay a premium over here for that to be honest.

You could genuinely save a fortune bringing one from the mainland.

I have no issue going over and getting the right car i have done so in the past with cars and a few bikes in my time. wee adventure too just need to make sure its as advertised which can be a challenge.
need to sell the Merc 1st so not in desperation ideally if someone had one that suited but was not in any rush to sell that would give me a chance to sell and get organised.

Anyone want a nice Merc. c class, diesel, 6 speed, cdi220, 147BHP full service history with 134k miles and 4 brand, new tyres last week with 17" alloys in nice met blue? £2100 OVNO just serviced on Friday 24th.
really clean and mech perfect????? Swap, PX whatever floats yer boat. ;)
