GT Exhausts CDTi

My car is now approaching 160k and I know a new exhaust is fast approaching.
I did read on here that 'GT Exhausts' were worth looking at but cannot trace where. Anyway, I did find their web and found that all Rovers are well catered for. Therefore, has anyone any feed back on their quality?, or is there a high quality alternative available elsewhere? please and thanks

Just removed one off my crashed 75. 3 years old. Very nice still just sold it on. Would buy again.

How'do John :)

I fitted a GT backbox to my 1.8t a tad over 2 years ago - I paid £54 delivered :cool:

I wasn't expecting anything special quality wise - I had to get one quick for MOT at the time - it fits the Car well and sounds Good - no drone or excessive noise :}

the only issue I had - the connection end had not been flared, so I had to buy a coupler :shrug: No big deal IMO.

I'm sure it will last another 2 years minimum - so represents Good Value for my Money :D

Paul.

Thanks

Thanks for responding - much appreciated - nice to have some feed back on non OE parts. Keeping up to date with the reliability of our now 14 years plus cars, at 160K I start each long journey wondering - The in tank fuel pump and Exhaust are original - Clutch - on my third (believe in pre maintenance so changed at approx 60k). Like most of us - I've spent thousands but it's a labour of love and 'her in doors' keeps nagging to replace. (the car, of course) Off to Southampton tomorrow am and again, fingers crossed.

I've just fitted one in the last week onto my 1.8T via a garage.

It's a fair bit louder than an OEM exhaust and I guess for someone who wants the car as OEM as possible it's a bit loud. No issue for me as I've had sport exhaust across most of my cars and my 75 isn't being used as a gentlemans car.

I also had issue with the fitting and the sleve listed didn't work either, they ended up just welding it on.
