IGO works Ok , ( can't stand the womans voice ;) )
Freeview Scanned and found Most stations but then mostly no picture

Mine a Homemade one , made from a Old Hi line radio fascia, Made it last year before the cheaper D -Din front came about.

Steering now working ok

It also has the usual hidden setup menu where you can select the GPS software to run.. so will try Tomtom .

So Mio pocket probably Ok too from here . ..not tried it yet ..

I've only failed on the Freeview .. but the signal round here is weak ..

1 mile up the road and it all OK on a Piece of bent copper wire !

Would *love* to know how this works with TomTom... Seans unit's look great, but north of £300 is too much no matter how I play it.

If you do get TomTom working, can you record a video for me please? £215 is almost bearable...

EDIT - Do the steering wheel controls work with this?

Guys, I have been around the "Biz" awhile. As Objectively as I possibly can. You CAN DO BETTER ON THIS TYPE FOR YOURSELVES . If you guys want to venture into the Universal type, let me get you a Nice one ? More Up to date features, Close to your Price range.

TomTom 6 Will work on these but very Out of Date. Tom Tom 7 will load but is Full of glitches.

Sorry if I have Overstepped or stepped on toes, Just Offering my knowledge. Just tell me to go away and I will.

A Few Examples..... And within your Price range.

Detachable Panels Maybe for Security reasons?

3D Graphics and Lots of neat Features.

Go away, Sean :D

Seriously, though, you are quite correct about Tomtom on the Chinese double dins or any other system running WinCE. Its a well documented fact that anything beyond TT6 will not work for a variety of reasons, primarily audio clipping. TT6 is currently getting the pension and is well beyond its sell by date.

In any event, iGo is far superior IMHO. Tony (Fry) has a great version of iGo over on the MG7 double din thread.

I would also recommend purchase from Sean (Radioguy) due to his excellent warranty. Its impossible to beat unless you deal in a bricks and mortar shop (and pay the premium for doing so!).

A bit late for me !!! :D:D:D:D

As its an easier fit I would have gone for the OEM lookers.

Although I'm probably the only person here who isn't that struck on their looks ?

But I also wanted built in DVBT,not an addon box .

also never quite grasped the desperate need some peeps have for TMC ??

But in the end the Price was the real killer for me , just too expensive

If they were 250 or under, would have dived in earlier!!

But hey , each to their own !!

Chris

PS this one ere' seems to do everything the ones above do ?? except drive a CDC , or lose their front ,

Mind you I've not delved that deep so far .

PPS.. Not after a mines bigger/better than yours battle here !! ;) :getmecoat:
