Cambelt for a 2.0 Deise???l

Talking to someone who lives nearby, and he say's (after owning a deisel rover, apparenty) that a cam belt needs changing on a full service on a 2.0 Deisel Rover 04. I only though that for a Rover petro 1.8l???

Hi,
A diesel has a chain not a belt & does not need changing.

Cheers Mel:)

Hi

The BMW diesel is chain driven, think the only belt it is has is the aux one. Prehaps the chap was talking about the old proper Rover diesel's in the 600.
