As per title mount edgecombe car show Cornwall,as it’s been a lovelly day and car show maybe a little unorganised as to parking etc,it’s always turned out to be a good day so hopefully this will be another meet we can attend,please add names etc,in previous years you go onto their website pay you £5 and download the window club flyer and pass,I look forward to your response cheers matt

Hi Yeti,

It's worth remembering that the position of Area Organiser isn't a paid post, it's one that people like Matt (Cable Tie) do voluntarily. Hence, they may not be on the forum daily due to home or work commitments.

A lot of effort goes into setting up displays like the recent Powderham Castle show, which had members attending from all areas. It was a shame you couldn't make that one.

Equally, if you read through this thread, you'll see you pay the Mount Edgecombe show organisers direct, either via their website (you've missed the deadline now) or on the gate when you arrive on the day. So Paypal was never an option unfortunately and possibly why no one has replied as requested :shrug:

I'm sure we'd all be pleased to meet you and your car on the day, and I dare say your name will get added to the list soon if you still wish to attend ? Having your name 'in print' is not as important as coming along and being part of the club, so don't worry about it too much ! ;)

Just to thank paul ive had a lot going on the last couple of days and in no way whatsoever will you not be welcome nor made unwelcome,please accept my apologies for not replying sooner but i will be posting times of where to meet up and so forth,just bare with us as some of us are on cornish time and always gets done dreckley if you still want to attend im more than happy to put your name down

Hi Matt, sorry I threw my toys out the cot, should have realised, but been stressed out lately and just needed a nice relaxed day out. Yes, I still wish to attend, but am working sat night/Sun morn so may have to meet you all there. Please just text me to say where you all are and will find you. Many thanks to Matt n Shirley for another great day out. But the rain didn’t deter us hardy Cornish and English folk. Nice to get my neighbours onto our stand with their two cars. I’ll chat to them to see if they want to join us for any other meets/shows.

Happy to see Rhubarb and Custard parked together.

Thanks to all who attended today was a good turnout maybe i might get to like this show one year gazebo and cooker would make it good like it used to be

Sorry I missed you all today, by the time I had finished with my visitors and got down to the club stand you had all gone home.

Thanks Matt great day even with the mizzle (Cornish for rain) good turnout nice to catch up and meet the new Red 5 owner.

Linda & myself stayed on (albeit with the TF), whilst the other lightweights disappeared around 2pm following a hint of drizzle... :duh: :getmecoat:

Definately think the gazebo helps, members might have stayed longer if we'd been allowed to put this up :shrug:

I was really surprised at how early cars from the various stands started heading off, this was much earlier than last year. Maybe a combination of Gazebo / traffic fears? My visitors were work visitors, so I had no choice but to adhere to their timetable and they were frailer than I was expecting. We didn't actually get into the park until about 2pm by which time people were already starting to head off. Lesson learnt for next year :duh:
