The new Atlas robot from Boston Dynamics will soon be working on Hyundai’s production line in their new car plant in America, Then their sister company Kia’s production line. I will rival Tesla's robot Optimus & then some :eek: It could do all the Amazon warehouse jobs right now & Amazon could realize their fantasy of no more washrooms, No breaks & no sick days. :eek:

Apparently it’s the future. There will be lots of people being unemployed.

As a fan of Isaac Asimov in my youth and having just watched a re-run of Robin Williams in Bicentennial Man.......

I genuinely wonder what the current newborns are going to be doing with/during "their" lives -'cus I don't think it shall be "work" as we know it?

It's amazing to see how far robotics has come, and the new Atlas robot from Boston Dynamics sounds like a game-changer for the automotive industry. The potential to revolutionize production lines at Hyundai and Kia, and even take over warehouse jobs at Amazon, is incredible. However, as these advancements continue, we must consider the impact on workers and their rights. Speaking of innovation and efficiency, I recently had a great experience with glue up customer service. They were extremely responsive and helpful, which is something all companies should strive for as we integrate more technology into our workplaces.

If we look at unemployment now, the number of job vacancies, the companies that use automation, the number of foreigners working in the UK, has automation really made many UK citizens unemployed that cannot get a job? Are foreigners making UK citizens unemployed or are they filling the job's UK citizens can't or won't fill? When ever there is mass unemployment does another company or other companies pop up and employ similar numbers of people.

They will have to roll out UBI (universal basic income) or the like in the not too distant future by the look of it. :eek: More & more automakers are beginning to use AI robots on the production lines, Tesla, Mercedes, Fiat, Hyundai. Take Stellantis brand Alfa Romeo! They recently had to change the model name (Milano) of their new BEV because Stellantis decided it was too expensive to make in Italy, so they won't allow it to be called Milano as it's not made there. They moved production to Poland & had to change the name to 'Junior'. Stellantis saved €10000/vehicle doing that :eek: Imagine how much cheaper it would be manufactured by AI robots.
They're seeing more & more of the Tesla Optimus robots in Tesla plants being programmed & once one robot is programmed all the rest will be programmed en masse.





China has scores of 'Dark Factories' They're run 24/7 in total darkness as they don't need lighting in them, they're all run by AI robots, they make steel plates and mobile phones to household appliances and rocket parts with barely a human being in them. :eek:

We are well ahead of the Chinese in this respect. I believe some of our household names run dark, cold warehouses despite human workers in them and provide no toilet facilities nor allow toilet breaks.

This worker's rights thing was a 1970s concept and will never catch on again!
