Rover 75 MGZT wanted
Out of nowhere I want one. I don't do many miles as I cycle or use a m/bike to commute so maybe 5k a year tops therefore mpg is not important to me and thus...I want a diesel or 2.5V6 with as high a spec as possible.
I'd like a mk1, mot'd with a good service history and low owners. I'm not interested in a project or something that needs work, I don't have the knowledge, skills or time. On the other hand, I am not looking to pay £500 either.....I could be pursuaded by a facelift MGZT. There was one recently here that I liked but it is 200 miles away, I live near LBA airport and work in a hospital so right now it's got to be sub 100 miles away. Many thanks. |

Don't give up on one yet, take your time and you should get a good one, I bought my 75 conny se in feb 06 and still have it,
then in 2016 mid life crisis kicked in and I "invested" in a ZT 190, I knew what to look for, was lucky and the seller could not afford to insure it so I got what I would consider "a bargain" since then I have driven round Europe in it (the 190) in 2018 the went to a car meet in Holland last year, looks like another Holland weekend next year and on the back burner is a jolly to Norway up to the Arctic circle. you can get a LOT of car for your money :D |
Mark iv tried to Pm you but its full on your in box. Please pm email address so I can send you photos of car for sale.

Hi Phil and others...........to clear my inbox for Phil I deleted messages from other members and now I can't remember who I was talking to, I am really sorry for not replying.
However, things moved on a bit, I promised to give my Focus to a young kid at work at the end of June so I got into a bit of a rush, I've been using a 1992 MX5 for the last few days and it's not practical. So Sunday night I bought a car on Ebay to give me transport whilst I search for a 75. Bob's your uncle, a 2 owner 03 Mk1 diesel (new clutch) in Leeds pops up on Gumtree Monday afternoon! Bummer, I've decided to take the advice of maxi_crawf and now relax, take my time and get what I want as I was begining to "nearly" buy cars I didn't really want. And, as I do have long trips Euro trips in mind I've narrowed it down to a Mk1 diesel, automatic preferably or one with a recent (ish) clutch change. Think I'll go look at the Leeds car anyway..............:} |

I had seen that as it is local, but being a local I know what that dealer is, not a car dealer that's for sure. People travel from all over the UK to be ripped off and abused and it's gone on for years. Check out any reviews. |

Reading your post earlier, I went and had a look at Mk2 ZT contemporary in what I think is in Trophy Blue for sale at Longfield Rd Motors in Darlington.
A diesel on 127k it is on sale for 2k. In all honesty, it doesn't look as if it has been a cared for example. The near side rear corner bumper has been blown over in a not very well done repair, the car looks quite tired. Not in any way worth 2k. Trikeys is a much better idea. Chalk and Cheese really. |
