ZT diesel wont start

Hi, I may have done something very silly.... I purchased a blue backlit speedo for my ZT... now I know they need to be programmed, but I thought I would just check the speedo lights whilst I was doing some other work... so I swapped the speedo units temporarily, the new blue lights were fine.
The problem is that now I have changed the speedo's back, I cannot start the car, It's like an immobiliser is preventing the engine starting?? There is plenty of power in the battery.
Any suggestions, I have disconnected the battery and re-connected to no success...
Badly stuck as I need the car tomorrow!!
Thanks
Phil

I'd plump on the battery not having enough charge to spin it over....

How long did you have the doors open whilst you were working on the car ?

I would check to make sure you've plugged everything back in & also check the fuses incase you've inadvertently popped one while you've been meddling:}

Have left battery disconnected for 30+ mins.... have put battery starter on to jump with extra power. All I get is loud click click click when trying to start. All lights on dash OK, fuel pumps run etc ??? still at a loss :-(

Mmmmm just got a bit of a turn when trying again, will leave the battery on charge for an hour or so.......

also if it is an auto, make sure it is in Park "P"

FYI I swap ipk's in and out of mine all the time for testing and it has never done this.... I never need to pull the battery to swap them either.../

I do know they do not like to be boost started!!! disconnect the battery +, start it, then reconnect the battery +

Thanks guys... & Klarzy, am being patient and have left the battery on charge. had to retire as it's bucketing down! At least my mind is at ease now I'm sure it's not me causing ECU problems or the like!! Didn't expect the battery to have problems, but hopefully it is just that simple :-)
